hi all twisted, sorry to start yet another amorphous thread, but maybe we can get one going for anyone besides me who just wants to talk about nothing and everything in particular that doesn’t relate directly to a twisted track??  i remain driven by twisted music (and for me it’s posford music) and i just want to connect with others who might get me smile  today i got my 8 twisted CDs in the mail.  quite excited about that smile  to me it’s more than loving the music, which i do, but it was a statement of independence for me, too.  gonna forage out on my own very soon and this meant a rock of stability for me.  if you hate me for my post, just don’t bother replying…

Baraka is a fantastic film.

I remember the guys from FSOL saying they would create music with that film playing, with the film-sound turned off.

@ALL—i gotta check out all these works smile  do you get just as much from watching purely sober??

Something I wanted to talk about yesterday:  I was driving on a heavy traffic local road and the guy in front of me hit a squirrel with his pickup.  I FREAKED.  I cried profusely and punched the roof of my car and screamed “Fuck you, God.”  I hate that “God” or whatever (if anything) lets that be okay and gives me no way to deal with it.  I used to speed up and tail the offender, but really there wasn’t a ton the guy could have done to avoid it (tho I probably would have somehow, even if it had meant a vehicular accident).  I just wanted “God” (or whatever!!!!!) to give me peace and let me know somehow it was okay, cuz what else could I ask for at that point, but I don’t think I got any good response….  GAH I hate when animials die like that!!!!  The poor thing wiggled away on a broken backed vortex and all I could think of was my cats and the squirrel’s life story…  BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Ah, I do love that movie!!  In terms of what’s touched me the most, let me think…  First one that comes to mind (and probably no sappy surprise) is The Lion King.  Shawshank Redemption also a big one, but that’s almost a “duh” here, I’d bet.  OK, I’m trying to show some culture here…. but ok, Amelie also touches me.  And another indie one, I think it was “Rachel Getting Married?”  OH, and recently saw Blue Valentine, THAT was almost hard to watch but touched me to the core.
