Since Twisted Rec crew has always supported Ozora festival and I know there are some Ozora goers on this forum, here are the latest news, copied and pasted from the official Ozora fest. site before being deleted:

“CHANGE.

The World is in big change now…

We are changing…

The Tribes have left Ozora.

Spirit is gone!

After 8 prosperous and joyful years, Daniel (the farmer of the land) decided to take the whole festival in his hand. He beleives he can do it as he owns the land and the event is big enough to carry on alone by itself. We have been trying to convince him for the last 2 months, but he did not even listen to the facts and the suggestions collected by us to improve the Festival rather than destroying it in his sudden strange mood.

We beleive that it is much more that has been born at Ozora, not just the name he registered, the ground and the big money behind it - but a lot of personal love and hard work.

Everybody who worked in the Ozora Team have added a lot of effort and enthusiasm. All the artists have added their vision, many of them for free. Everybody dancing there added his own vibration. And Love again. That is what can not be counted. And also it can not be missed…

The owner’s decision was purely made on ‘financial interests’, although almost 99% of the income went to that 1 place. Does it sound familiar? The old money-pyramid again, and probably it’s time to think of a new system.

So we go different ways… No fighting back, rather looking into the future.. making the best of the Present.

We are happy and sad in the same time. But we must follow our heart and not the greedy needs.. Different ways of thinking, different ways of life.

We have a beautiful vision with long years of experience and knowledge…

The ones who must leave ‘O.Z.O.R.A’:

Bubble Balazs - main-organiser

Oleg - ex-organiser, music, web

Edit - graphic designer

Amin - Access All Areas’s father figure

Alpha - music & stage

Peter Didjital - music & stage

Extradimensional Space Agency - main stage decor

Martin Audio - sound system

Pumpui crew - visuals, movie, before & after party

Viki - shops

Csaba, Cuki and their nice friends - Magic Garden

and workshop keepers, jugglers, builders, workers, the travel crew and many artists like Raja Ram, Simon Posford & the whole Twisted Crew, Atmos, Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Man with no Name, Tristan, the PsyBaba family, the Ultimae Records family… and many more.

Thank you for all of your support!

We believe in you more than ever!!!

Together we can keep the Spirit of Ozora… w

We can even create something better.

Our collective dream has huge energies…

Funnily enough this year the chosen sign was the ‘Rise of the Phoenix’, in other way ‘Flight of the Garuda’... Symbols. Who knows? Maybe it’s time to leave one stage behind…

So this is the news now.

By the internet we can stay connected, more info soon.

Thank you all !!!

Love & Light “

so what does that mean, no more ozora at all? or are they going to try to find a new location?  This is a huge bummer.  Ive never been to ozora, I actually just heard about it earlier this year, and made it one of my life goals to attend someday (im in the us, so it would be a very expensive trip).

This means that Ozora under that name will be held in future at the same old location, but under, probably worse, new management.
The bad part is that a lot of people from the old management and a bunch of artists who supported the fest all these years (such as Twisted Rec) won’t have to do anything with it anymore.

On the other hand, those who have left are willing to organize a new festival at a new location.

I attended this festie for the last four years, and the situation quite saddens me, because the old orgs put so much effort in creating something truly beautiful. And every single year I had an opportunity to experience at least one of Twisted rec. artist for which I am VERY thankful.

The bottom line is, those who haven’t attended the true Ozora yet will, I guess, get a second chance although at a different location…

sad times. i was planning on doing the boom - ozora - transylvania calling run next year.

i hope they find a new location and, most importantly, the money to keep it going.

The location looked amazing whenever I saw photos, but if some farmer thinks he can alienate festival organizers and go it alone, well he’s going to have a rude awakening. They should organize the new festival to coincide with “Ozora 2012” and see what happens. Total war.

i have no idea wuts really going on, but the story is similar to a small grass roots festival that took place here in maine.

it was run by a production company that used the shows to raise awareness and money for marijuana legalization. the shows were huge and successful until recently. then they started getting kinda grimey, lots of weird vibes, and sketchy behaviors started taking over the place. becoming at times an unsafe and about as unfamily as you can get.

the landowners after some quarrel with the production company took control of the festival. they wanted to resolve that low vibration that seemed to getting worse each year. this year they had 3 shows, a weekend long, all in the spirit of marijuana liberation.  the vibe they cultivated was amazing. it may have not been the best “party” but the community created, by the family’s take on the show was immaculate.

having broken a contract with the production company the landowners were blacklisted by many local bands(a coinciding fest was made, and it failed…jah!). i dont believe the landowners vision here in maine was purveyed very well, and it was definitely not understood until the first show. there was a high vibration all around. people werent ketamine’d out of it laying next to a speaker at 6am, in a pile of beer cans, water bottles, and glowsticks. i mean i guess if thats your thing, thats cool too….

i have never been to ozora, but maybe the landowner is trying to cultivate a higher vibration. where we dont know wut his heart of hearts is speaking to him. the lands themselves are just as important and need caretakers. maybe he put a halt to psy trances biggest party, but maybe by doing so they create an even more tight knit family. im sure there were many people, artists, and labels, who put in much time to make ozora wut it is, they should be honored to be a part of something so amazing.

im definitely a little shocked, they seemed to be doing it well, but there is something hard about running a festival, one has be intently mindful of the intent of the party. at the same time they seem to be very corruptive, lots of money, drugs, and eager energy available for the taking.

my best wishes to those who made ozoras of the past happen, to the landowners, to both festivals. i hope they both awaken people, and steal some faces wink
