Raj’s flute playing was very good, I just wish there was more!

All done!

First, many thanks and good vibes to Simon, Raj, and the entire live crew for coming together once again and bringing the full show to the USA! Major props for doing the two shows on opposite coasts one after the other, and I can only imagine the logistical hassle and physical strains of getting everything and everyone from NYC to Oakland and ready again in twenty hours. If I could hug you right now, I would. Without you guys I wouldn’t have seen you, and I wouldn’t have any videos to better preserve the memory.

Here’s a playlist if you care to watch them all in order or at once without much interruption.

And single links:

Ineffable Mysteries
Shpongolese Spoken Here
Museums of Consciousness
Dorset Perception
Periscopes of Consciousness & Schmaltz Herring
Nothing is Something Worth Doing
When Shall I Be Free? & The Stamen of the Shaman
No Turn Un-Stoned
I Am You
Invisible Man in a Fluorescent Suit
Electroplasm
Divine Moments of Truth
My Head Feels Like a Frisbee
Beija Flor
Around the World in a Tea Daze

I take credit only for the camera work. The awesomeness that you see within belongs to Simon, Raj, and their many performers. Hopefully you guys enjoy them as mementos if you went, and if you didn’t, I hope that they show reasonably well what Shpongle Live in Concert is all about.

Great video! The sound is better than I thought it was, or maybe I wasn’t in the sweet spot. The encores were just rad. Jon2, gimme a pm if you want to do a swap!

I don’t think it’s the same guy playing the Hang Drum as at the Roundhouse 08 show, even with the beard…

I’m happy that you’ve enjoyed the videos.

It’s not the same guy (Manu Delago), it’s Dante Bucci: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNJswfXKJ3s I wasn’t able to make out who the bassist was, beyond his first name being Jo(h)n. Does anyone here know who it is?

I’ll let you know about a swap jahful. wink

I would love to somehow extract the audio from this as well.  Anyone know how we can do that?

I’m hoping they do a soundboard tape release like the Prometheus set at Ozora! I’d prefer the Oakland show, ‘cause that’s what I saw, but I’d definitely buy the New York show if that was on offer. The Shpongle page on Facebook has hundreds of photos from both shows, and some cool vids from the soundboard in the Hammerstein (the sea of people is just mad, the band is so far off you can’t see them but the lasers are fun and the whole thing is nicely framed by loges). I reckon Jonsquared (love the double-entendre) here did about the sweetest job on the Oakland show.

tbh i’d say michele adamson is the weakest link in the live performances.

either her voice is not suited to live gigs, or they need to figure out how to make better use of it.

flavius are you basing that on the Fox Theatre vids? I think all the vocalists voices got kind of lost there, and I’m a big fan of Hari Om and she kinda sounded lost too. But Simon’s throat singing was tha schnizzz.
