What is funny is that it reminds me of Ott’s dub step new album! Of course it’s different but their bass is really great!! I appreciate their innovative ideas, I knows lots of peolple are disappointed by their new ventures but artistically I like it…

it couldn’t hold a candle to ott’s forays into dubstep. at least ott came up with an original sound, that fit nicely into what he’s trying to do musically.
i don’t understand how people can take IM’s music seriously anymore.

I think this latest effort is different and fun to listen to, but I whole-heartedly agree about everything post-Supervisor. My favorite will always be the Converting Vegetarians discs.

Agree, this is a pile of absolute sickly shit. I stopped buying their ablums after the 3rd one, I remember buying converting vegitarians and gave it away. At least Ott’s dubstep fitted into what he did in an intelligent way, this is utter chees.
On the Shpongle Facebook page I think it is, Posford has that he ‘likes’ IM so I just pray that he’s just been polite and doesn’t ever do a Shpongle & IM collaboration.
i liked converting vegatarians at first, Now I never listen to it. I even removed it from my phsychadelic playlist lol. I dont think ill ever listen to im again, were just not on the same page.
* and as a side note about dubstep, I love Mir its probably in my favorite top 5 albums, and some dubstep is tolerable but they are really beating this thing to death. Now im seeing dubstep everywhere, blockbuster movie trailers, radio, KORN step? Im really just completely sick of it to be honest, and 90% of it that ive heard is basically indistinguishable from everthing else dubstep (unless they use a sample or something from a movie, never their own originiality or artistic vision of course). Its a cool sound yes, i like the waawaawaawawawa, I guess i just need more than wawawa and computer drums. Mir, on the other hand, takes that bad ass sound and puts it with tons of other bad ass sounds, originality, style, his own artistic vision and I do belive some divine inspiration and the result is a very awesome and I would say visionary work of art. k sorry rants over back to infected mushroom.
It’s funny because I’m the opposite. I can’t listen to IM before Vicious Delicious. I like some songs from Converting Vegetarian especially “I Wish” but everything before I simply can’t, tooooo weiiiiiird!!!! I love the magic in Hallucinogen and Shpongle is a master piece of art but IM starts shinning with VD!

there’s aboslutely nothing original about that bass line…
the redeeming feature of dubstep is the beat, which works great as a break-down in the middle of a driving set. on its own as a full set, though, dubstep gets boring really quickly.
i also don’t like the grimy-ness to a lot of dubstep, which is why i prefer the twisted, glitchy sound that ott came up with - it’s a lot richer.
also, seriously man, ‘U R so fucked, so fucking fucked’ - those lyrics kind of sum up IM nowadays
