Twisted tours in the UK

Hello everyone!

I can’t help but notice that, since I first discovered the Twisted artists at least, there hasn’t been a UK tour, just one-off London shows and the odd festival appearance. Even if it was just London and Manchester or Leeds or another similar city, it would give the opportunity to many more people to experience a show who may not otherwise be able to. It certainly seems to me that the UK fanbase is has some strength there if another London date was added on after the DVD filming due to demand. And there are venues of all shapes and sizes up here, surely at least one would be suitable?

I don’t mean to whine in the least. I hope it doesn’t come across that way, obviously I don’t know the ins and outs of it all and I would do everything possible to try and make a trip to London possible but I think there’s an audience here too.

The way I see it, Twisted crew has been quite busy touring the US lately…therefore they weren’t available for UK bookings.
But Si+Raj+Benji will be performing @ Glade festie this year…

Yes, but there have been a handful of US tours (2 or 3? I’m not sure) in the time frame I’m talking about.

And yes, there’s Glade (though sadly I can’t make it). But like I say, there have only been London and festivals dates; both types of events being infrequent one-offs.

My best guess is it’s not up to them.

I have followed Twisted artists since the late ‘90’s and finding them playing live in the UK has always been hard work.

I presume they make more cash playing Brazil, Eastern Europe, USA etc as the audiences for bigger shows always seems to be there, I am guessing if the demand was the same here they would play here more?

Sad to find it so hard to see UK artists in the UK though; I have only got to see 1200 Mics once over here despite many years loving their records.

Just dropping in to say that I went to the London Twistival, and it was one of the best events I’ve attended!

See you at Ozora next year…
