For at least one second, or perhaps under a second, Scientists at CERN were able to very quickly shoot one particle 400 miles away, under the speed of light.

I’m not an expert on this but I think if this trial was without error, today marks a VERY big step in the name of Science.

Awesome. Reminds me of Shpongle’s ‘The God Particle’ . Let’s hope these guys don’t get too far ahead of themselves and open a black hole; I’m not yet ready to start over !

Yes!  Definitely a breakthrough in terms of…well, everything.  So cool, and yes, it always reminds me of the excellent Shpongle tune!

I’m glad you agree! I realize now through some more research that these guys never really went under the speed of light, but they made the closest to the speed of light tat is possible. As of today none really believe that the speed of light is one speed that can be passed.  Some few seek out this possibility as a means of time travel, though that’s something too far ahead of our generation to pay mind to.

Though this discovery was a pretty big deal because these guys were able to isolate the building blocks of our universe which is known as ‘The God Particle/Higgs Boson particle.’ We’ll see how far in the future we are building skyscrapers out of essentially nothing, from the research from these guys.
