I was watching TV the other day and i swear i heard a shpongle song in the background. It was like a travelocity commercial or something, it was advertising beaches and stuff. Im not sure which song it was but I heard the familiar chanting, anyone else seen this?

i haven’t seen any commercials, but a few days ago there definitely played “Aroun the world in a tea daze” on Russian TV in some program, i just saw the end of it with credits and the track playing

The latin part in My Head Feels Like a Frisbee is a quite well known piece of music and is used in a Dutch commercial as well. I think Spongle just sampled it.
I heard the latin sample from Divine Moments of Truth once on a latin beach party. It was not Sphongle, it was the original. I don’t mind, I think the latin samples fit great in the songs from Shpongle,

Okay, I think I saw this commercial on Saturday afternoon.  It wasn’t travelocity, but some other company (I can’t recall now).  When I saw the beaches and heard the music, I hushed up my wife and asked her to listen to the music.

When the commerical was over, I asked her if she thought it was Shpongle, of which she said no.

I also would agree that it wasn’t Shpongle.

This assumes that we watched the same commercial as you.

I guess.  I mean it was akin to Shpongle, but it didn’t strike me as an actual Shpongle track.

Ive defo heard Shpongle on an English advert probably bout 4-5 months ago. It might actually have been an advert from the tv channel (saying whats coming next or whatever) rather than an advert for a product. Saw it a few times, and got my girlfriend to confirm.

I jus assumed proper permission had been granted!?

I’ve heard the exact same thing! In fact, that’s how I found this topic - I heard it and I googled it just to see if anyone else had heard it. I can’t remember if it was Travelocity, but it was a company like it.

It takes the chant from the song “A New Way to Say ‘Hooray!’”. I don’t think it’s the actual song, but I think they took that chant/moan/call, whatever it is, from that song.

Is that what you’re talking about?

Sounds very interesting (topic). Never saw anything like that. that is so special (artist related), ...then again, I also rarely watch TV (but that’s relative too).

I live in Australia and we have a reality/talent show here called ‘Dancing With The Stars’.
Essentially it’s a ballroom dancing show with celebrities.

Anyway I saw a commercial for it on the TV, and it was playing Head Feels Like A Frisbee in the background!

PS: I swear I heard the harmonica from Frisbee being used in another song… did Shpongle sample it, or vice versa?
