I’m a native French speaker and I still can’t quite figure them out.
A light, anyone??

n’y va pas mon coeur
la bete que tu a cru morte est revenue

ses yeux affixe (sic) ton ame
ton corps dit lache moi femme
trop tard mon pote pour toi
elle ammene la fin

Sorry. How rude of me…

>va pas la ce soir
>n’y va pas mon coeur
>la bete que tu a cru morte ... est revenue
>
>ses yeux affixent ton ame
>ton corps dit, lache moi femme
>trop tard, mon pote, pour toi
>elle ammene la fin ...

Don’t go over there tonight
Don’t go there, my love (mon coeur = my heart, my love)
The beast that you thought dead ... has returned

Her eyes bind your soul (affix - fasten, attach, you get the point… Eyes like glue…)
Your body says, let me go woman
Too late, my dear, for you
She brings about the end ...

So, Ouch, indeed.
It’s one of those days. I’m sick today. It’s psychosomatic. Or maybe just, psycho. ... I fucking caught some British bug. They’re infectious, those bugs. When shall I be free… If only I had the power to choose what bugs to catch and which to dodge…

Nice translation smile

What about the other vocal parts in the song? are they in french also? if so it’d be great to see a translation of those parts!

Nice one smile

The other vocals—you know, it’s funny… Only the words of the woman are sensical French… The words the man speaks—who is it that sings, besides Adamson?? Is it Vaughan or Posford, who’s doing the male vocals? ... His words are pretty much non-sense… The only words I could make out are, not even straight French but a vague jumble of romance languages -
“Je crois ... je capiche…”

I think… that I understand.

LOL
... I think, though I might be wrong.
Pretty fucking hilarious.
and APPROPRIATE.

... interesting that this song precedes, Evil And Harm…

what now LISTEN TO YOU, u naughty lady!!~ ‘i know EXACTLY what it means _buuuut_…’ Just rubbin’ it in, Mistress Michelle, Miss Songbird Adamson, perched in a tree, flaunting it from above, foxy Missus V —i say, V for VIXEN… u so mean!! “I knoooow what it meeeeans, but I’m nooot goooonna tell yooooou~!!!”  wot hey huh no . . . ! ! ! ! LOL.

Dada, as in—rejection of logic and rationality?? Dada as anti-art… Dada as, let’s see—“the sickest, most paralyzing and most destructive philosophy that has ever originated from the brain of man.” So, the babble is essentially non-sense. “On a bad day…”

Si ceci n’est pas une pipe, alors donc, qu’est-ce que c’est?? QU"eST CE QU’une pipe??? ... Une pipe est un ... b l o w j o b ??  What, so you mean the babble is obscene?? You mean head is involved?? ... Carmina Burana style—not sure what they’re saying but it’s pretty sick… lol

Alors, t’as un secret ou tu bluffes?? Allez, vas-y, dis moi, traduis…. Je ~promets~ que j’le dirais a personne…

(Now the dime fell in the jukebox and it goes—Psychokillah, qu’est ce c’est?? Sha sha SHAAA shasha shasha SHAAA shaaa…)

Micheles lyrics are always magical… though the only music by Michele that I’ve heard are the tracks she’s done with Simon (Shpongle, Younger Brother) and her tracks on Infected Mushroom’s Converting Vegetarians (I totally *love* Blink).

So—is there more music with lyrics by Michele out there?

Edit: Nevermind, checked out Michele Adamson on discogs. So let me refrase - where can I get hold of her solo album Fallen Angel? =)

Edit2: Found it on psyshop. So let me refrase again: Anyone heard Micheles album? What’s it like?

I have a copy of the album and her vocals as always are perfect.

I would have prefered SP to do the production on it though but then again maybe she chose not to do that as people would have bought it more for that reason.  So I think it’s good that he didn’t do it and it gives more focus on MA.

I can’t remember off hand who did the prod work, worth tracking down though. :D

* Mistress Michelle, * ahhh i could get used to that… wink
i posted a translation on the shpongle fan site for those that are still curious.

“Dada, as in—rejection of logic and rationality?? Dada as anti-art… Dada as, let’s see—“the sickest, most paralyzing and most destructive philosophy that has ever originated from the brain of man.” So, the babble is essentially non-sense. “On a bad day…”

sickest and most paralysing eh? interesting… i’m a big fan of rene magritte and eugene ionesco who indirectly gave me permission to explore some of my darker more surreal tendencies.

“Si ceci n’est pas une pipe, alors donc, qu’est-ce que c’est?? QU"eST CE QU’une pipe??? ... Une pipe est un ... b l o w j o b ??  What, so you mean the babble is obscene?? You mean head is involved?? ... Carmina Burana style—not sure what they’re saying but it’s pretty sick… lol”

aha! i thought i was talking to my’Elf. yes the babble is obscene and rife and taking over… there is at times too much head involved, but we can disengage brains and halve the problem at least. i am truly sorry if i offended your delicate linguistic sensibilities..i was afraid of that as my skill in french is not what it was..(in a previous life when i was a parisienne of dubious moral values called Marie).

Alors, t’as un secret ou tu bluffes?? Allez, vas-y, dis moi, traduis…. Je ~promets~ que j’le dirais a personne…

do i have a secret? i’d prefer to be an open book…perhaps lacking in mystery but using the time i would otherwise spend covering my tracks and being coOL to explore the bEyOnd. if there’s noThing out there (things are over-rated) then i hope at least to save y’all the journey.
