Hi man

Just listened to your track. The track I think needs to be more full on. Faster and the bass sound I would change personally.The sound grinds on you after a bit sorry. It’s to slow to be this monotonous. Pump it up a little. Bring in some twisted melodies and some hard riffs in places. Also some hihats and snare drums. This is a really long track with not alot of changes.  You have some good samples in the breaks. Some potentially good melodies that you can work on also. Also for a long track you may want to make it like a story. Give it a beginning, middle and end. You said you had X Men in mind. Maybe try to give it an X Men adventure within the track. Like a mission, a part for the builfd up to the mission, then the action of the mission and finally something to go along the lines of saving the world

I have never seen X Men(believe it or not) so don’t have a tune to compare it with.

I try to be frank in my opinions but not hard,(Remember these are only MY opinions, there are many more out there) I hope you don’t take it the wrong way. I want people to be the same with me. That’s how we improve. I’m not a fantastic producer myself but got some good advice and came up with my new track which I believe is an improvement on the other 2 tracks I have up.

Hey, thank you for the input!
I am using ableton right now and ive used just about every sound the program has to offer in itself… I like some of your ideas, ill progress it more towards psy trance when it gets darker and speed it up a bit. I like the mission idea too, ill probobly rent some xmen videos and cut some more quotes out.

Im going to vancouver soon as well, my friend has a drum set and other cool instruments so expect to see some more tunes coming up

I’m using Ableton myself. I love alot but there are a few tweaks to be fixed. Hopefully 6 will sort it.
I find it a great program. However making full on is a bit wierd to get used too.

If you want some good full on to listen too for ideas then go to www.cytopia.org and check out ATMA. There are a few artists on there. Metzanima mescalito is a cool track.

Trent maybe shorten the track to 7-8 minutes if you feel you can chop off 3 minutes. Perhaps listen to other artists on this site. Radioactive Sandwich, Cubensis Theory, Nakiel’s stuff is good psy also. The track B10S is a good example for you to listen to. The structure you could maybe implement into your music. Middle bit is a tadge tedious(sorry Nakiel ) I haven’t heard the X Men theme but some reason the sounds and ideas of Nakiel’s I think could maybe suit this track well. (Oh and Nakiel my cat digs B10S, he was right up to the monitors when I was playing it).
Try find an artist that you totally dig. The style that you want to project yourself and then listen constantly until that track, you know inside out. Then try to replicate it.

its anoying? thats fine! Ive been listening to hardcore, breakcore, glitch -all that kind of stuff, i guess some of that seeps through into my music sometimes. But dont you worry! I just got this colossus vst pack, it has 32 gb of of instrumental samples :D

I dont really have a lot of time to make music, with school and all, i usually make stuff when i am on break, thanks for the comments too im working my ass off to come up with something new
