Hiya,

I have uploaded some of our tracks to http://twistedsessions.com/artists/166/music.php and would really appreciate some feedback. Whether good, bad or stick to your day job, I would like to know what you think.

We are One Mighty Atom (www.onemightyatom.com), a Cycadelic Funk band (yes, spelled that way) from South Africa.

Thanks,
Jeff.

Hi there and welcome to the wonderful world of Twisted and Twisted Sessions.
I’m happy to see that you have set up your page. I promise to get around to listening to your tracks and comment. I’m a little backlogged with some stuff. I’m just taking time out to write on the forums and answer some questions. Just letting you know we’re a friendly bunch here   LOL But don’t be dismayed with not getting alot of feedback, you’ll still notice that people will read your message and listen to yuor tracks. They just don’t always have the time or means to get a response out.

Anyway I’ll listen and give them due attention so I can give constructive comments.

Take it easy and enjoy your time here.

Hi splonge

Yeah a nice funk style you have here. I could easily see this being played by David Holmes or Z Trip for example.
I like the sounds and style. Can’t comment really on production.(MIne isn’t so great) I like the bassline on 2:30 in metro. Maybe progress it after 3 minutes(just an idea, I still dig it)
Surfin gave me a little feel of Ghost Town at the start. Funky/dub nice again I half expected to hear ghost town vocal come in when you had the guy speaking LOL  LOL Nice melody, Where have I heard it before, you made a slight variation of it. It was good. Man it’s driving me nuts. Where is it from aaaaargh LOL
The bell sound at the end too high and distorted, quite crackly unless that’s what you after but made me cringe a little. Not a bad sound to use just lower it maybe. (Or that just my monitors?)
Soundtrack to your Abduction nice mellow dubby track, little eastern in the instrument. nice toms after the break. eeery whistle. Nice track again. I liked the eery but mellow flow to this.
Tumble boogie I like the sample at the start and how you used it. Tune wise I didn’t think this was your best. Some cool stuff but the bass seemed to be lacking as opposed to the other tracks. When you have the bass coming in again just before 3 minutes it doesn’t have that impact as in the other tracks and so a little balance is lost(I feel anyway, don’t take it the wrong way)I like the melodies and all.

Overall I like your stuff. Some has given me some things to try out so thanks if anything comes of it LOL

Take it easy

Hi DiMuTech,

Thank you for the constructive feedback smile , I really appreciate it. Surfin’ is a cover of the Earnest Ranglin song by the same name, which is probably why you recognise it.

Tumble Boogie is an older track (prior to getting a drummer), so it lacks some of the feel of the newer tracks. Its easier to play a bass groove with a good drum track smile

And again thanks for listening and giving feedback!
