Does anyone else think this is one of his dopest songs?  I’ve been listening to it over and over and can’t get over clean the production is on everything.  I know most of the parts are form the orignial song, but…

My question since this is questions board is does anyone know where the vocals in the song come from? Not the Terrence McKenna sample, but the male vocals that come after it.  I know they are in the original song as well, but I figured those here on Twisted would be just as informed since ya’ll probably listen to Entheogenic as well.

Thanks

I actually MUCH MORE prefer his remix of Timless E.S.P.
I think its AMAZING!

As for the vocals, I too am interested.
I’m not exactly sure, but I have a hunch….

Psytrance artists use A LOT of samples from this collection.
I really want to get my hands on it!
If only I had the money…..

Hope that helps you out, Sandwich Bros!

ya… we know about that sample pack…

does it piss anyone else off? it seems that is the ONLY sample pack most psy artists use. yeah.. sometimes its hard to find good ethnic samples…. but if u cant find soemthing good that hasn’t already been used, MAKE IT YOURSELF!!!!!

most of the shit you hear in our music is the two of us just sitting around making noises into our mics.. then twisting the hell out of em… you can get some pretty convincing stuff if you just try…. plus… it does help that half the sandwich is brown. hahahaha.

I recorded a lot on a trip to mix it later on, some ethnic field recordings is nice, but you got quality samples out there too.

This Ott remix is excellent btw, ground luminosity is a sweet track too..  the whole dialogue of the speakers remixed album is so far the best i`ve heard from Entheogenic.

i found alot of albums entirely dedicated to tribal feild recordings and tribal music/instruments/chantings… they are soooo much better for sampling than usin any sample pack, jeeeez. that’s really dissapointing to hear about pro psytrance artists actually using these! i had thought all the samples were original to them…

does anyone know of 2 examples of psytrance artists using the same sample from this pack? or any pack… i would muy muy curious to hear the difference in interpretation… i think that would be fun!

i hope shpongle hasn’t used any prepackaged world sample packs…
i’d lose a bit of respect… i can’t help it…

i do know that there is one sample pack that we found almost hte entire intro to DMT on… beat, vocals, everything. it was kinda crazy to hear it without any effects and slowed down a bit.

http://www.spectrasonics.net/libraries/vocalplanet.php - listen to the WORLD sample

this is what we’re talkin about though. it is a tad disappointing to find the full on sample as the DEMO on the website. granted, at the end of the day, what shpongle does over the course of the song IS amazing… but it’s still a bit disappointing to hear the whole intro on a sample cd.

don’t get us wrong though, we loooooooove shpongle. haha.
