i can’t stop listening to this song even after a year… :shock:
its truly one of the most beatiful song in my opinion.
i used to go into trance on this song when i was a beginner to lsd.
i used to close my eyes and meditate. and it took me into bizzare realms of conciousness.
the begining of the song is peaceful and defines a sense of let go, and makes you anticipated for the trip to begin.
then comes the strange sounds with that bassline(not quite familiar with the terms) and then the beat, that feels like million flowers sprouting with love and some sort of cosmic river passing by.
and then the vocals… pure enigmatic journey!

anyone know any similar songs like that that has a trance-like touch and mystical flow in them?
for example, afterglow by cosmosis is another great one i had great experiences with :D
Crumblenaut is also another wonderful song for spirituality

Great track.  I was fortunate enough to get that Shpongle CD when Hallucinogen played Vinyl in NYNY back in 98.  After the party, went back to a friends house for some Delightful Momentary Transgressions… the Shpongle CD was put in the CD player…. and WOW.  Gorgeous sounds… designed for the mystical generation.

Shpongle Spores will always be part of me… the drifting 4 dimensional colour bubbles, the guitar that gently massages the sides of your mind…. up, down, up again… drifting ever so beautifully… it is a perfect example of psychedelic music done right.

Some people love Skazi, I love Shpongle. 

Whenever others have been touched by their music, I feel a connection to those people as well.  It is sad that Shpongle is still so unknown to the world at large.  Are You Shpongled? should be a CD in everyone’s collection.

hmm… yeah, shpongle needs to be known by people.
like it feels really amazing when i make a person listen to shpongle, who’s completely unaware of the genre, and the person loves it!
then it feels like you’ve spread love and peace further in this world..

I was walking home one night with a friend when this group of people thought they would come up to us and have a chat, so we chatted for a while and one of the guys started whistling a tune which i regognised almost instantly, so i started singing DMT DMT DOO DEE DOO DMT along with his whistling, he went “WOAH, you like shpongle too?!” so i smiled and nodded and he gave me a big hug.
If it was any other band i dont think i would have got that reaction.

This track (as many from Spongle) is not just music!! It touches much deeper feelings the just melody.. can take to long long trip, can make person think about many matters differently.. It’s serious experience!

Really pity that this project is finished :( At least for this moment..

I was. As soon as i heard that throat singing at the start of the track, i was like “DMT!!!” When it got going, it was such a great feeling seeing everyone dance too it.

Absolutly fantastic track.

I had the luck to listen to Shpongle on my very first mushroom trip ever.  It was the most stunning, unbelieveable, warm and unique thousand- in- one feeling one can imagine.
It immediatly made Shpongle a part of my life, even changed my personality in a really good way, turned my mind upside down and inside out!  There’s something about Shpongle Spores now, everytime i hear the first three seconds of this album, my hair gets straight up, my mind tingles and twinkles and I feel an all pleasant ice cold feeling running from my spine to my head.  Thank you Shpongle for giving me such an experience, such a life altering idea, all this warmth and joy!
By the way, I’m Sam and i’m new here, i usually don’t take time to register on forums and reply, but when i saw all these open minded curious people replying, i could not turn my heart to stone. Shpongle to all of you! :o :D

It’s a great track, but it used to be my least favourite on AYS. It’s grown on me over the years though. BTW, does anyone else think it sounds more like a Celtic Cross track than a Shpongle track?
