If I had the cash I’d love to fly over to this - I think it will be one hell of a night and new year….enjoy it and report back? :D

Can I ask what the deal is with the Disco Biscuits

ie: Who are they and why are they so great that they’re getting all these gigs alongside Posford?

:D :D

No problem..
The Biscuits are a Philadelphia based band.  They were/are influenced by Simon Posford (as well as many other things)

In 2005 the Biscuits threw a festival called Camp Bisco 4.  They invited Simon to play a late night set after the Biscuits’ second night and a Younger Brother Set to cap off the festival.  I was there that night and had never heard of anything TWISTED prior.  Simon and Benji were so well received by the DB fans that they were invited back to CB5 where Simon and the DBs played a live version of Gamma Goblins together(not the highlight but def cool).  They also played late night sets as well.  The Biscuits and Twisted apparently decided to team up in the States to throw one hell of a NYE Party in the Biscuits’ home Philly/New Jersey area.  I think its safe to say that because of the Buscuits there has been more of a demand for all things Twisted in the states these days I am not complaining.  If it had not been for the Biscuits I probably would have never heard one note of from geniuses.  I live close to where NYE will be and consider mysef VERY lucky!!  I will rage for all that cannot attend!! smile

At long last

I get to see the Twisted Shaman himself.
Started in 04, after listening to lots of Phish and Umphrey’s McGee.  It changed my world.  Now I’m not just a drummer, I write electronic disco-funk inspired by the Mushroom, Younger Brother and such.
And now I get to go on a trip to see it live.
Thank you, folks, for reading my mind and not making us US folk wait until Bisco VI.

You hit the nail on the head there saying that you feel so lucky to have found out about Twisted etc.

We are all very lucky and I think word of mouth is the best way, respect for the biscuits for spreading the vibe across the US and your New Years eve will be untouchable :D

I think I’ll have to settle for a in house Twisted party

It’s been a little over ten years since my first biscuits show, when they were nothing more than a bar band (if that) playing in a frat house in west philly. I’ve been to countless shows, and I can say that no band puts so much of a spin on their own music, and others’. www.discobiscuits.net is a great resource for finding out more about the biscuits. check out the “covers” section for a good laugh and possibly a gasp or two. They’ve covered it all. Bach, men without hats, zappa, etc. great show on the NYE, thanks to the twisted crew! I got a chance to say hello and intro myself with benji for a few before he went on. It was sweet! Spoke to simon at CB5 too! Si, still have that deamsters t-shirt I gave you? hahaha. Happy new year twisters and twistettes!
