Ever since the third album was released, I’ve been very intrigued by the vocal samples (more so than with the first two.) “We are like caterpillars, contemplating pupatia.” that’s a good one. “You know, I just awoke from a dream, and it wasn’t like your typical dream, it was humoreal, like i’d walked into an alternate universe. And it’s a form of ESP, but you can have so much damn fun in your head. And of course, bring one of those fun rolls.” all the Waking life samples.
But I’d been wondering for a long time about those heavily hidden vocals, like at the beginning of “when shall i be free?” what i’ve deduced is this: “seriously… just imagine one thing… if i change (with other thoughts?) in this space and this time, there it is, it seems to vanish into a small, fine point of light. The dimension of time.”
Can anybody confirm what is actually said? I’m sure it was designed to be a thing to listen for for a long long time, then on a particularly clear day you’d listen to it, understand it, and grow miles.
