yeah, i’ve been thinking about it and i think i agree. I don’t like it when artists pump out an album just because of popular demand rather than having a surge of creativity. This may not be what’s happening here, but simon did say that he thought he’d pushed the shpongle project to its limits, so what are they going to do with number 4 if they believe this? I trust simon and raj completely to make an amazing next album, i just don’t want them to feel pressured into doing it just because shpongle is such a loved project…

Downhill from here?  I certainly hope not.  Considering the talent involved, that would be a shame.  Still, I think it would be hard to top what we already have, though perhaps the direction taken with Nothing Lasts could be improved upon somewhat.

A live DVD of the Shpongle set at the Twisted party with a CD would be a dream come true !!! I’m not too bothered if they release a seperate 4th album, I reckon they pushed their sound pretty much to the limits, don’t really see a need to try and keep going after they have said it will be their last. I really want Simon to get his third Hallucinogen album done, can’t believe it’s been nearly ten years since the Lone Deranger !!

It’d be nice if they filmed the April 2007 live show and released a DVD, that would be a nice “Shpongle 4”

There is always the possibility that the Shpongle limits have been broadened… by technology or psychedelic energy, hehehe.  I don’t believe Posford and Raja Ram would do anything without their deep visionary input… after all, that is what Shpongle is all about.

Yeah a DVD of the live gig would be nice as on the net theres just the odd clips here and there.

Maybe theres a delay in the box set as they’re gonna integrate the DVD with the box set - just a thought :?:
