Hi and welcome to Twisted Sessions. I had a look at your page just now. Have been meaning to this last week but it has been so hectic at work and I’ve been knackered. I see you have a few tunes up so I’ll get around to listening and leave some comments on Sunday. I have to help the missus move today and tomorrow.

Til then take it easy

all in good time Im sure, I’ve found lots of good tunes to listen too, and likewise, haven’t delved into your page yet either.
no rush to listen, its always better when you have the time anyway. If if so strikes you, comments and feedback are welcomed

best wishes
paul

Hi

Just listened to Myceleum. Really nice and chilled style. I have the feeling we may have used the same synth sound. 8)  8)  In my track Gravity I have a very similar sound. See if you notice anything.  LOL

Am now listening to Thermal Expansion. Maybe a little work on the bass. Some good sounds used but the track itself seems a little lacking in my opinion. It has the feeling it could be more powerful and sometimes gives the impression it is building up to that. Also the mixing could do with a little tweaking. At high levels there is a bit of distortion.

I’ll have a listen to the rest soon dude. Take it easy

Opinion

stacked discs:
Too much treble, try to work more on your guitar lead.
Nice sound effects, your melody is boring try play more chords but still very nice melody, I’m enjoyed from your work, Good Luck bro’...

thanks for the listen, innerconfusion,
that version of stacked discs is an more or less an earlier draft version. Treble and distortion have been tamed on some parts that were in need.
sorry you dont like the melody, its in the pocket for me. sounds just right.

peace

Nice psy “stacked discs”, paul

Interesting build up, nice effects.
The lows are definitely the problem, missing compression, definition..
The kick is too weak: make it bigger and harder (may sound a little funny LOL ).

Overall: good work, nice sound, nice track

thanks for the listen insomnia.

good to hear some ideas for touching up. ‘Stacked discs’ is my first creation that i would call ‘psytrance’ (or close to it anyway)
a lot of full on is sometimes just a little to hard for my tastes, and i usually end up writing with more of a boomy kick than a punchy psy kick.

any ideas on bringing the bassline out a bit more? Ive only played this song on a handfull of different systems, and last night at a party it more to me like some of the midrange is lacking strength in the begining of the track. It wasnt really the most dialed in setup though…

and also, the copy of the song that is hosted here, is from the begining of december, and i have done a bit of work on it since then.

take care

p
