Firstly let me say that Ott is one of the most amazing dj’s in the world EVER.
I have therefore decided that amongst the immense wealth of coverage (well deserved though it may be) of twisted’s HUGELY talented releases (shpongle, etc.) that there should be topic entirely devoted to him and praising him as lord of everything dubby. Well maybe I exaggerated, but - due to the fact that there is SO little info on him anywhere available - I thought that people could contribute anything they know about him here.

-whats his real name?!?! I’ve always wanted to know… And whats the story behind the name “Ott”

-Any info people might have on release dates for future projects (please end the suspense soon!!! I’m dying to hear more from him!)

-recommending related artists that Ott lovers would like

-Collaborations, etc. (like forthcoming umberloid material)

I know one thing about him! I know that he makes f*cking mindblowing music that makes me fly! That is a fact about Ott!  :D

It says on Last.fm that there will be an Umberloid album coming in 2007, but I don’t know how accurate that is. One question I have - Is “Billy The Kid Strikes Back” the same track as “Ott Meets Billy The Kid”? The way they’re titled, it makes me think they’re different, but I don’t know.

BTKSB and OMBTK are different tracks, the former released on Ott’s album and the latter on a LSD compilation.

Anyone know anything about hikimori?

discogs says its otts “secret alias” but I wasnt aware that he had an alias that did uptempo stuff… I mean i no he does dabble with it occasionally but didnt realise he released anything. Is black ops the only track he’s done? any plans for the future with this alias? what other uptempo tracks by ott should i look out for? (thats the only one i’ve heard…)

I saw on Naked Nick’s myspace that he’s currently working on a new album with ott.
Which sounds wicked, as apart from ott being amazing and any new tunes from him are good news, Naked nick’s mix on the IDspiral website is awesome, and he’s great live too.

Cant find any extra info on this release tho - anyone no when its due, which label, etc? Dont think it would be on twisted, or else we probably would’ve heard something by now… right?

What, Ott was Eco??? I seriously don’t believe that.

My sister was a huge goth and EBM fan at that time and played that album all the time. I was a little kid back then, and was terribly scared of that music. If that was the Ott i listen to nowadays, i’ll seriously shit myself right now.

That almost can’t be though, as the guy behind Eco was a german…

once a time .... yes .... this is a story, where i puted my humility, ott is really a master, with sound and energy, i would like, to be shelter with others for to sit and to listen….
