I know Yello is not on the Twisted Label, but I was wondering if anyone else here is a fan of their work?

They’ve been pretty innovative over the years and their recent Pocket Universe was an impressive album.

I’ve known Yello for years now. Motion picture is probably my favorite album by them.

A great album of modern, moody electronica with jazz and soundtrack influences. Might be a good album for fans of Hi-Fi Companions.

Is this the same Yello which have been round for years?

I have a 12” from 1988 time called oh yeah, a great track.

Yes, Yello is the duo that has been around since 1980, perhaps earlier.
Still making great music, of which Oh Yeah was their greatest commercial success, unfortunately overshadow most of their other great work.

I found out recently that they’ve been issuing remasterd albums with superior sound quality and bonus tracks…a good time for newbies to them (or those that just know them from Oh Yeah) to get aquainted.

Yello has been founded in the late 70’s i believe, in Switzerland.

And their biggest commercial success was rather The Race than Oh Yeah.

The Race…yes, in Europe perhaps, but not in America.  Oh Yeah has been used in countless movies and television commercials, and if you ask someone who Yello is, chances are they would know them as “those Oh Yeah” guys rather than those “The Race” guys.
LOL
