Simon has definitely played DMT in NY before… I actually saw him play it 3 times.
1st was a Shpongle DJ set at Cielo in I believe ‘05 (immediately followed by an impromptu street party which lasted about a half hr before the cops broke it up…. anyone else remember that?!), Shpongle boat party last summer (which was the most godly trance party EVER, even though it only lasted about an hr and a half) and then again at the post-NYE KF party which was also mentioned in this thread. That party was billed as a Simon Posford DJ set (I think the first one I have ever seen like that… not billed as Hallucinogen or Shpongle) and he played a nice variety of stuff (new YB track, OTT, Hallucinogen, Shpongle, etc).
I was pretty close to the stage for that NYE Simon set and it actually looked like he was reachin for the DMT CD but the cops/security prevented him from playing a last track. I truly believe he was about to play it but was stopped!
