I haven’t visited many myspace sites myself so I could not comment on that, but I do know that complex graphics and such can put off some people as high speed internet is not available to everyone around the world .

Content-wise, I think that lossless downloads would be a cool idea.  Given the amount of work that Simon and Raja put into the sheer sound design and mixing of the Shpongle records, any listeners who listen to Shpongle exclusively in MP3 are missing out on quite a bit of frequency information, subtleties and nuances that emerge during playback from a good source and high fidelity equipment.  Offering lossless downloads of b-sides and compilation tracks would be all the more killer, since some of the comps which contain the tracks are long since sold out.

And I just have to make the incredibly unreasonable request for *exclusive* tracks for download.

FLAC and Monkey’s Audio are two popular lossless compression schemes, with FLAC boasting higher popularity and APE boasting superior compression.  They’re both lossless so the sound quality is identical to the source file (WAV).  The level of compression only affects the size of the file and the tax on the processor during decompression.  The latter is only an issue for fairly old computers.

I think that any info on their studio processes would also be a much-loved feature.  I remember that on their MySpace, Younger Brother hinted that they may document some of their studio sessions.  A doc of a Shpongle studio session would probably drive the fanbase wild.

Polls should also be definitely included.

shpongle TV, playing psychedelic clips? people may be able to upload their films. maybe a shponglecam broadcast at live parties?
membership benefits would be good for attracting people to the site as opposed to just browsing as a guest, as many do on this site. benefits like exclusive access to behind the scenes footage, downloading exclusive member-only tracks, discounted merchandise, etc.
