‘Backroom Beats’ is the downbeat label from Twisted Records presents a collection of downtempo beats for the ‘backroom’. This compilation represents a new development in chill out music; based on the best of downbeat, nu-funk, jazz breaks, deep house, dub, and classic lounge, the styles found in chill out rooms worldwide, but remixed and given a sonic ‘twist’ by our talented Twisted artists.

Here you will find some of the best downbeats artists in the world; including Ned Kelly and Professor Stretch from The Underwolves, DJ Pathaan and Gaudi as Orchestral World Groove, Ned & Maff Scott from The Egg, Twisted’s star producer Hallucinogen (aka Simon Posford), Dick Trevor from Science Department, Neil Cowley from The Brand New Heavies, Willy B from Glyder, Nick Doof and Benji Vaughan as Citizen Kaned, Tristan and John Mark as Event Horizon, and Steph from Total Eclipse as Digital Mystery Tour plus a number of excellent producers new to the chilled scene.
